Drawn from ancient sea beds sealed under the Himalayas long before industry existed, this salt is mined by hand, washed in spring water and stone-ground in small batches. No anti-caking agents, no bleaching, no iodisation. Its faint rose colour comes from the iron and magnesium held in the crystal, and its flavour is rounder and less aggressive than refined table salt.
